Thanks for the SMI drawing from the 6,5 mm Mannlicher Cartridge.
It is a pity the letters in the texts are too small to read and I have only a small knowledge on the Italian language.
395D is the DWM case number for “Holland Kal 6,5mm M/95 Gewehr u. MG”.
363 is the DWM bullet number, “Holland-Ordonanz-Gewehr Kal 6,5mm”.
What the meaning is of the letter N in front of 395D and 363 I don’t know.
I like to know the exact meaning of:
Bossol = Case
Capsula = Primer
Pattottola = Bullet
Cartuccia per Sparo = ????????????
Cartuccio normale = Ball cartridge
Cartuccia da esercitaziona = Blank or ????
Caricatou = clip

Ci sono notizie fresche su questa cartuccia.
tra il dicembre 1914 e il febbraio 1915 una commissione economica/militare rumena con a capo il col. Vasile Ludeanu ha stipulato a Roma numerosi contratti con aziende italiane per armi ed equipaggiamenti.
Uno di questi contratti riguardava la fornitura di 50 milioni di cartucce calibro 6,5x53R siglato con la Società Metallurgica Italiana. Però solamente 270.000 cartucce furono consegnate alla Romania prima della entrata in guerra dell'Italia, il contratto fu recesso da parte della SMI per ovvi motivi.
Le notizie sono tratte da due pubblicazioni "Efforts made in order to insure the necessary armament, equipment and munitions of the Romanian Army during the neutral years (1914-1916)" by Cornel I. Scafes pubblicato nel 2013 e "Bucharest - history and muzeography materials XXVII" pubblicato dal Bucharest Municipal Museum

Ottimo percui essendo solo 270,000 quelle consegnate è una cartuccia rara.

Be´, considerando il tempo trascorso e il fatto che finora non se ne sapesse nulla, direi MOLTO rara!
