75x226 R austriaca non rilevata nelle tavole di Fert

Ciao, ieri a Gambettola ho acquistato questo bossolo austriaco utilizzato nella WW1. Non l'ho rintracciato nelle tavole di Fert.
Da che cannone veniva sparato? ha dimensioni bocca 75 altezza 226 fondello 90. E' molto leggero e sottile, mentre un suo fratello datato 1915 è identico ma con peso maggiore. Mi pare sia per lo spessore del fondello che successivamente era più grosso.

It's a german (not austrian) 77x230R for the "Feldkanone 96 n/A" and the "Feldkanone 16". The case is light weight because it was made from a 77x132R by lengthen it. The lengthening was done by more draw steps with annealing between. The original 77x132R was made in 1899 and it was converted to the 77x230R in 1912 by "Artilleriewerkstatt Spandau (AWS)".

The original length of 132 mm is sometimes visible as a small line on such cases.

These converted light weight cases are not very common so you did a very good buy ;-)

Grazie, non riuscivo a trovare nulla per questo bossolo.
Abbiamo spiegato l'arcano e si possono aggiungere quindi due nuove tipologie alle tavole di fert.
a)- la 77x132R tedesca (originaria)
b)- la 77x230R tedesca con crimpatura

Quest'altra che ho comperato è stata realizzata direttamente nel 1915 in quanto non ha marchi di modifica, è leggermente più pesante ma è sempre molto leggerina

this case exists with and without "crimpatura":

with crimp: for "Feldkanone 96 n/A"
without crimp: for "Feldkanone 16"

7.7cm FK 96, 7.7 FK 96n/a ( short case lengthened), 7.7cm FK 96 n/a (new case with St marking for Stark), FK 16 case with no crimping groove

yes you are right - 1906 from Rh.M.F. (like on your Picture) ist the earliest I know. This 1906 case has lot number 2 so it is possible that lot number 1 was made in 1905.

Btw. nobody knows if "St" means "Stark" because there are no written primary sources. Stark simply means strong but in my eyes it isn't a nice german word for the heavy cases. But for sure the St is in some relation to the heavy cases. I think it's a different word than Stark but with a similar meaning.
